FFN is a non-profit organisation dedicated to working together with and for the benefit of its members.
All members within the network are treated equally.
Our board and president are elected by assembly for a period of time with all money being spent for initiatives that support the business development of our members.
All financial decision making is transparent and accessible to our members, and does not allow for any personal benefits for the board.
What makes us different to other freight forwarder networks is that we are 100% owned and managed by our members.
Membership requirements
- Maximum 2-3 Head Offices per Country
- Members must prove financial stability through an IATA agent, or signed balance sheet by an accountant
- Members must have at least 5 years trading experience within the market
- Members must be active in their business
- Members must show three references
- Exceptions may be made upon decision of the board
Commitment of members
All members must agree to the following basic standards:
- A maximum payment term of 60 days for contracted work
- Commitment to bringing business into the network
- The practice of fair, legal and ethical business at all times
Member contributions to the network will be evaluated on yearly basis.
If a member presents as inactive for a period of time, he may be removed from the network at the boards discretion.
Financial policy, control and transparency
- All financials relating to the network are open to our members
- All expenses above €10.000 must also be approved by the board
- The board will lead on all decision making regarding network expenses
Board and rules of the board
- The FFN Board is made up of a minimum of 5 members and a maximum of 8 members
- The elected president will serve for a maximum of 2 years
- The board reports to the members
- There is no renumeration for board members however costs will be reimbursed after approval of the financial commission.
- Board members will have the same payment obligations as any other member. There is no free membership, accommodation or sponsorship etc.
